Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood has something for everyone – tree-lined streets, sprawling green spaces and a vibrant community anchored by Tennyson Street, home to some of Denver’s best shops, restaurants and bars.
Berkeley, just north of Sloan’s Lake, is quintessential Denver, blending historical charm with modern amentities. An eclectic mix of old and new, homes in this neighborhood range from older victorians and charming bungalows to modern duplexes and townhomes. If you’re looking for a neighborhood with a community feel, urban amentities and walkability, Berkeley is the place to be!
Morning
Head to the heart of the Berkeley neighborhood, Tennyson Street, and indulge in a pastry (or four…no judgment!) from Bakery Four. What to get? You really can’t go wrong here – my go-to is the morning bun.
Note – this is a favorite among locals for a reason, so be prepared to wait in line, but I promise the wait is worth it!
Just up the block, grab some coffee at Huckleberry Roasters and head to Berkeley Lake Park.
The world is your oyster! Bring your fur baby and check out the off-leash dog park, go fishing, play tennis, or grab a blanket and a good book from Denver’s Smiley Branch Public Library.
Afternoon
Grab a sandwich and some beer at The Grateful Gnome for lunch, where you can watch sports or hang with your pup on the dog-friendly patio.
After lunch, take a stroll down Tennyson Street and hit up some shops, swing your clubs at South Broadway Country Club or grab some beers at the local breweries.
